The historical method is a fundamental step for History in a world manipulated more and more by modern technologies of information and the social communication. In view of this reality, we will examine six points here: the philosophy of history, objectives of the historical method, general content of the course, account by oneself or others, information today and, last but not least, the critical spirit.
